GYFTY
The structure of GYFTY Cable consists of optical fibers inserted into loose tubes made of high-modulus material. The loose tubes are filled with a waterproof compound. The core is a fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) core. The loose tubes (and filler ropes) are stranded around this central reinforcing core to form a compact and round cable core. The gaps within the cable core are filled with a water-blocking filler. A polyethylene sheath is extruded over the cable core to form the cable.
